Biography

Helen Broderick was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Broderick's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the musical comedy "Top Hat" (1935) with Fred Astaire, the Fred Astaire musical "Swing Time" (1936) and the comedy "The Bride Walks Out" (1936) with Barbara Stanwyck. She also appeared in the comedy "The Smartest Girl in Town" (1936) with Gene Raymond and "Meet the Missus" (1937). Her film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like "The Life of the Party" (1937), "Radio City Revels" (1938) and the Constance Bennett comedy "Service De Luxe" (1938). She also appeared in "The Rage of Paris" (1938) with Danielle Darrieux and "The Road to Reno" (1938). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Honeymoon in Bali" (1939) with Fred MacMurray, "Naughty But Nice" (1939) and "Father Takes a Wife" (1941) with Adolphe Menjou. She also appeared in "Nice Girl?" (1941). Broderick last acted in the comedy "Because of Him" (1946) with Deanna Durbin. Broderick passed away in September 1959 at the age of 68.
